Indiana PFAS S.B.0482: Establishes the PFAS biomonitoring pilot program to collect and analyze blood samples of individuals who were previously, or are currently, firefighters. Indiana Cadmium , Lead , Mercury , Heavy Metals HB 1589: Requires video display manufacturers to state whether the devices exceed maximum concentration values for chemicals including lead, mercury and cadmium. (Adopted in 2009) Indiana Mercury , Heavy Metals HB 1110: Requires vehicles manufacturers to develop and implement a plan to remove, collect, recover, and recycle or dispose of certain mercury switches from end-of-life vehicles; requires recyclers to remove them prior to disposal. (Adopted in 2023) Indiana Chemical Prioritization / Disclosure / Phase-out , PFAS H.B.1341: Beginning June 30, 2024, prohibits fire departments from purchasing firefighter gear unless it contains a label indicating whether or not the firefighter gear contains a PFAS chemical.
